Cut margarine into flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in raisins and enough buttermilk to make soft dough.
Turn onto lightly floured surface: knead until smooth, 1 to 2 minutes. Shape into round loaf, about 6 ½ inches in diameter. Place on greased cookie sheet. Cut an X about ¼ through loaf with floured knife. Bake in 375 degrees oven until golden brown, 35 to 45 minutes. Brush with margarine if desired.

Irish Soda Bread
3 tablesspoons margarine or butter softened
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup raisins (optional)
¾ cup buttermilk

Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour
24 lbs. ground beef I used 85% lean
12 lbs. ground pork
12 medium chopped onions
9 cups rolled oats
4 cups milk
salt and pepper to taste
Stir all of the above ingredients together and place in Pam sprayed pan(s).
4 cups ketchup
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
4 tablespoons prepared mustard
Stir until well mixed and top meatloaf before baking. Makes 100 servings.
