Our yoga classes are intended for women and men who want to strengthen their bodies with fun classes for Boulder Ridge residents. We use yoga mats for our yoga on Monday and Friday at 8 am and are looking for Boulder Ridge residents to join our group. We use a taped video routine for 45 minutes, taped with our former instructor, Joan Jackson, who moved from our community. We have extra mats for you to come and try this great exercise!
Other yoga options include chair yoga exercises on Tuesday and Thursday at 9 am and on Wednesday's at 8 am. For chair yoga we use several different audio tapes that vary in length from 20 minutes to 35 minutes and use equipment such as balls and weights. We have a supply of both items for you to use.
We welcome all men and women to come to our classes and try them and see how you might see some of the benefits of yoga for yourself.
Because yoga is not a purely physical practice, there is flexibility to adapt one’s practice to meet one’s needs. This is a significant factor why yoga has become so popular with seniors.
At Boulder Ridge, we practice regular yoga and chair yoga. It also encompasses conscious breathing and meditation exercises, providing practice options appropriate for those of limited mobility.
We invite all Boulder Ridge residents regardless of physical abilities to join us for our morning yoga class.
